About The Los Angeles SLAM
In the early days, the Los Angeles SLAM was called " Semi Pro Inc ". Semi Pro Inc was founded in April 2008 and played their first game in the Superstar Basketball League which consisted of 76 basketball teams. Semi Pro Inc competed in the highest division possible .Within months of their first game Semi Pro Inc had gained legendary status in the basketball community. The tremendous success of Semi Pro Inc resulted in large crowds attending our games in the little community of Walnut , California. Loyal fans came out to see the Semi Pro Inc players which consisted of ex NBA player and USC standout Jeff Trepagnier, Mega Hip Hop Artist " The Game " , ABA All Star Ken Wright, New Mexico State Phenom Jonathan Gibson, University Of Reno Nevada 7 footer Chad Bell, ex California State High School Player of The Year Nominee Khalif Ford, and many other talented players that were on the Semi Pro Inc basketball team
Semi Pro Inc won the Superstar Basketball League Championship in it's very first year and followed up with an undefeated season, only to be defeated in the championship game against a team that consisted of ex NBA players Sean Rooks ( Los Angeles Lakers), Tracey Murray ( Los Angeles Lakers), Lamond Murray ( Los Angeles Clippers), Cameron Murray ( University Of Louisville ) and several other pro basketball players. Semi Pro Inc has lost only 3 regular season games in three seasons in the Superstar Basketball League. Semi Pro Inc presently holds the longest winning streak in history in the Superstar Basketball League.
